Share your story with the EYE community with our ten-minute quickfire presentations. Talk about your career, the work you do or a project you’re particularly keen to promote! Prepare a slide deck and take to the stage during our main conference day to share your passion and achievements.
Any attendee of the conference can present during the Lightning Talks. The format of the presentation is ‘TED’-style; ten minutes to speak with the opportunity to discuss presentations during the networking breaks throughout the day. We also ask that you prepare an A1 poster that summarises your presentation and can provide a little more detail to interested delegates. The networking breaks during the day give ample opportunities for you to answer questions and get into much greater depth on your topic.
Types of submissions
You can present on any topic related to being a young engineer in Europe – technical presentations on your research or work are welcome but bear in mind that the audience will come from a wide range of backgrounds and may not all have in-depth knowledge of your field!
01. Abstract Information
Submit your presentation title and abstract using the form below. As there are limited opportunities to speak we may need to be selective in which presentations we can accept.
02. Email Submission
If your abstract is accepted we’ll send you templates for your presentation slides and poster. No need to print your poster, we’ll do that for you in the UK so you don’t need to bring it from home!
03. Oral and Poster Presentations
Arrive on the day and share your story with the world! Your name and presentation abstract will appear in the conference programme and you will receive a certificate as a record of your contribution to EYE@Bristol.
