Getting to Bristol

Bristol has excellent links to the UK and Europe. With our own airport and fast rail links to Birmingham and London getting here will be quick and easy!

Bristol Airport is served by many of the low-cost European carriers, in particular Easyjet. You’ll find direct flights to Bristol from many major cities including Amsterdam, Belfast, Brussels, Dublin, Dusseldorf, Edinburgh, Frankfurt, Geneva, Munich, Paris and Porto.

A regular airport shuttle ‘the Bristol Flyer’ takes you to the Centre of Bristol, close to the YHA where registration will be taking place. A return journey costs £11.

Bristol sees the M4 and M5 motorways join via the M32, giving quick road access to Birmingham and Manchester in the North, Bath, Oxford and London in the East, Cardiff in the West and Exeter in the South. During rush hour these roads can get busy however, so we recommend you budget extra time to account for traffic if coming to Bristol by road!

Bristol is well connected by Rail and Motorway if you’re flying into another UK airport.

Bristol is well connected to other airports by Rail. We recommend you take the train from the following airports:

  • London Heathrow
  • London City
  • Birmingham International
  • Manchester International
  • Cardiff Airport
  • Southampton

If you’re arriving from the following airports, we recommend you make use of National Express coaches, which are more direct and less expensive than taking the same journey by rail:

  • London Stansted
  • London Gatwick
